You can start for free. A small subscription unlocks unlimited AI-drafted cards, saved voice/tone profiles, and reminders — it's designed to be cheaper than the cards you'll actually send.
Will my cards sound like AI?
No. Thoughtful learns from the way you actually write — short or long, formal or sweet — and drafts in that voice. You always see the draft, edit it, and refine the tone before sending.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your people, notes, and card history are yours. No social feed, no public profile, and we never sell your data to advertisers, and we don't train AI models on your private messages.
What occasions does it cover?
Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, sympathy, thinking-of-you, thank-you, get-well, Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduation, new baby, Christmas, Halloween, just-because, and your own custom occasions.

How is Thoughtful different from a personal CRM like Monica HQ or Dex?
Personal CRMs are filing cabinets — you put information in, and you take information out. Thoughtful is a writing partner. The point isn't logging the relationship; it's sending the next card. We do the remembering so you can do the writing.
Can I use it without giving it access to my contacts?
Yes. You can add people manually. Contacts access is a convenience, not a requirement.
Does Thoughtful train its AI on my private cards?
No. Your cards, drafts, notes, and the things you tell us about your people are not used to train any model. Read more on our methodology page.
Can I track gifts I've given so I don't repeat?
Yes. Every person has a gift log. You'll see what you sent last year — and the year before that — when you go to write the next card.
What if I forget the day?
Thoughtful is designed to nudge you days early so this doesn't happen. If you do miss one, the app will help you write a graceful late card — there's a specific tone for that.
Can I write group cards?
Yes. You can compose a card for a couple, a family, or a household, and Thoughtful will adjust the tone and pronouns.
Is there a web version?
Not yet. The full experience is on iPhone. The web version of Thoughtful is mostly for shared cards and learning more about the app.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID and you can cancel any time from the App Store. Your account and data remain yours either way.
